A school debate team jacket, set up the way sports team jackets are: team name on the chest, member name on the front, and space on the back for a season or a competition record.

Treating a debate team like a sports team is the whole idea here — the same jacket format, the same lettering conventions, applied to an academic competition rather than an athletic one. Year, name and school all customized at order.
