The only satin jacket in this group, and a genuinely different garment because of it. Satin has a sheen that wool does not, it sits lighter on the shoulders, and it suits indoor events and warmer weather where a wool letterman would be too much.

Navy with white sleeves keeps the classic varsity arrangement while the fabric does the work of making it feel dressier. Embroidery reads cleanly on satin, though the finish tends to suit script and monograms better than heavy block chenille.
