Brown and cream is the warmest two-tone combination in the range and the furthest from traditional team colors. Neither tone is saturated, which is unusual for a varsity jacket and the reason this one gets worn outside of any team context.

Because the contrast is low, lettering needs to supply it — dark brown, black or deep green thread on the cream sleeves, or cream lettering on the brown body. Gold works too if you want a heritage finish.
